If you are like us, recruiting from a global talent pool and meeting as remote teams are the norm. Video calls are essential to team organization and most certainly commonplace for new hires.

We get it, your hiring teams can't be in the same room to meet with top candidates. That's why when you're scheduling an Interview, you'll have the option of adding a "Video Call".

Video interviews are kind of like Google Hangouts but in the context of a candidate and you don't need a Google account to use them. 😀

They make it quick and easy for you and your team to connect face-to-face with candidates and make an informed decision, sooner.

Scheduling video interviews are a simple add-on to any interview invitation you send to a candidate and your team. No downloads are required and a link will be provided in the invite.

From your recruiting pipeline, select the candidate whom you would like to interview and just schedule a meeting. Once you see the meeting invite (below), just click "Add a video call" and the video interview link will be included in the invite.

1. Give your team a score card: Video interviews are an awesome way to connect your team to a candidate without a major event in their day. Video interviews can be just like any other meeting but remember it's to vet a candidate, so make sure your team has a game plan.

2. Test your cam and mic: Don't get caught at the time of the interview with a busted mic, it's embarrassing and we don't want you to waste your time. Schedule a quick trial run with your team a day before to make sure everyone can participate.

Fortunately, we do not require any messy downloads or installs, just a web cam, mic and wifi. It's as easy as it gets.

3. Alert your candidate: Make sure your prospective new hire understands they will be live and direct with your hiring team. Ask them to also make sure to their headset is working too and that their domestic employee will not be vacuuming the hallway...(Seen it before).
